Bio

My research focuses on understanding the causes of chronic kidney disease. Specifically, I am interested in how to stop the progression of kidney disease. Current therapies only slow the progression of kidney disease, but how can we regenerate the kidney so that patients no longer need dialysis or a kidney transplant? The aim of my research is to investigate the contribution of the immune system to the progression of kidney disease, and create novel therapies that target the immune system to regenerate the kidney.
